Foot Orthotics

What to expect when you see an Orthotist

Foot Assessment

We will listen to you explain the history of your foot problem/s and conduct a series of tests on your foot and ankle. We will also analyse your standing and walking alignment.

Recommendation

The information we obtain from the foot assessment will assist us to make a diagnosis of your foot problem. We will explain the diagnosis to you and the options available to treat or manage your condition.

Design & Manufacture

If custom foot orthoses are recommended for your condition our onsite orthotic lab will manufacture your orthoses specifically to meet your needs.

Fitting & Education

Your foot orthoses will be fitted to your footwear. This stage will also involve education on a suitable wearing regime for you to become accustomed to your new foot orthotics.

Our onsite orthotic lab allows us to make immediate adjustments to your foot orthotics should minor changes be required.

Review

We will review your progress approximately four weeks after your fitting appointment to ensure your foot orthoses are meeting your needs.
